I was pretty excited. Used pretzels for the tail (also used a big prezel as the support for the turkey neck. Cream cheese and a chocolate chip serve as the eyes. Cut red peppers for the wings and the beard.

Year #2 for the Turkey Cheese Ball.

Not as motivate this time around, accessorized with green olives for eyes and carrots for the beak and tail feathers.

Here is my FIRST cheeseball. It's a Goblin Head, 2008.

Here's the basic Cheeseball Recipe from Paula Dean.

2 - 8 oz packages of cream cheese softened at room temp
1 - 8 oz. package of shredded taco flavored cheese
1/4 cup of butter
2 Tablespoons of milk

Directions:
Combine the 2 packages of cream cheese, taco-flavored cheese and butter in a mixing bowl. Add milk and beat with an electric mixer until combined (stopping and scraping the bowl with a rubber spatula as needed.) Cover the bowl and chill for 4 to 24 hours.

Form the cheese mixture into the desired shape and place on serving plate. Decorate as you like. Serve with crackers, Enjoy!

Posting to your Facebook Page as YOURSELF!

Facebook gives you the option to post to your page as the PAGE or as YOURSELF. With the rollout of timeline, some of these setting have moved around and are difficult to find. Here's a quick HOW-TO list for changing this setting.
With all of my tips- you will already be logged into your Facebook account. Honestly, does anyone ever log out?

Go to the triangle on the top blue banner of your Facebook page and select the page you wish to "Use Facebook as."

This will bring you to your Facebook Page. Next you will go to EDIT PAGE  > then click UPDATE INFO > then click YOUR SETTINGS

  • If you check the box, it will post as the page every time you post to the page.
  • If you uncheck the box,  if will post as YOUR PERSONAL Profile every time you post to the page.

After you make changes- don't forget to click SAVE at the bottom of the page,
before moving to a different tab!!

Fish Are Friends, Not Food.

What does your network say about you?
If you are like me, we are always trying to find new and clever ways to promote our business, organizations, or our own personal brand image.

In this day and age, every time we hop on a wireless device we are looking for open internet connections. Herein lies a commonly missed marketing opportunity.

As a branding, identity obsessed designer– I was delighted to see that Long John Silvers had named their open wireless network "Fish are friends, not food."  I thought that the highlight of my lunch break was going to be the two piece chicken meal, but the smile on my face was from the clever marketing idea!

Setting up your wireless network, open or locked, is an opportunity to share you brand. Long John Silver's carries a strong marketing campaign through bright colors, fun imagery, and an upbeat friendly message. What does your network say about you?
